Sounds dodgy. Seller maybe gonna claim you already collected? Contact PayPal ASAP.

I’m not bothered - eBay will always side with the buyer unless the seller has some kind of proof the item was collected.

The thing was so obscure I can’t imagine it being a scam.

I just want the thing!

Yeah they do tend to.

Buyer arranging their own courier and then claiming they haven’t received us a pretty common scam, was thinking this sounds kinda similar but maybe not.
