  • Be aware it is postal entry only at the moment "to deter but not rule out new entries".

The org is stopping orging these at the close of the season.

Of course, 3500m of climbing is 3500m of climbing, but this is a lot less gratuitious than AWE.
Nice day out, except over the winter when it gets very slick around Hever.

I posted a few entry forms yesterday for AWE - still a few rides short of the AAA century, so I figured another half dozen entries should help!
If all works out, the entries ahould be good going into the new season, but I would make sure that you use any entries, just in case nobody takes it on.

(I've put my name forward, and surely I can't be the only fool who wants to keep them going?)

For sure. I think the AWE was one of the best rides (and most rewarding - maybe beaten by the climb up to Aubisque and Soulor ) I've ever done. Some of the toughest riding you'll find on a road bike too. Don't think I have time to post off an entry so will just DIY it. Have plotted the route to and from home and totals are 241km with 3500m elevation. Just had a quick look on the AUK results page by people called James and loads of AAA points . 8 times around the AWE this calendar year. Seriously impressive!
