Think I might need to re-tarp myself. The basha I gave to a homeless friend (later destroyed by council workers, or security guards, or some such a-hole) was great, huge, but heavy. The Jack Wolfskin Gossamer just didn't feel right but was built pretty well.
Finally pitched in the garden this budget thing from a charity shop, and it seemed like luxury having space for two on the width, but the sit-up height wasn't worth the shape, especially since it was still a couple inches shorter in length to what might have been comfortable...
Really would prefer a tent like this over a tarp setup, cos of the insects and my babysoft man-skin, but then the tarp/bivvy thing was never that bad in the past.
Not a recommendation, but don't get the Coleman Cobra 2, you'll have the same problem!
Saying that tho, my friend has a Vango Banshee 200 and you can sit up in it (I'm 5'11") so that may be worth a look if on a budget, otherwise something like a MSR Elixir 2.
I think someone has a berghaus 1-man for sale in classifieds. It’s the better version of the one I’ve got and while it’s jot got a huge amount of footprint space, I can sit up comfortably in it. Super quick to put up, too

Excuse the dog-dug holes.
