  • I just got a wahoo kickr and I'm using it with trainerroad. Very nice but I noticed that to do the FTP test I had to run in 53/11 to put any watts. Surely it's wrong, I'm not that strong.
Other niggle I've got is when I finish any interval the resistance just dissapears and let me spinning in the air, takes a fair bit to catch up and let me pedal at a recovery pace.
Will fiddle with it a bit more tomorrow, but any advice would be appreciated

  • It sounds like the resistance in ‘resistance mode’ is too low (where as mine was too high). Try this:

    1. Open the Devices Tab of the TrainerRoad app
    2. Click on your paired trainer to enter the Device Settings
    3. Under "Resistance Mode", switch from ERG to Resistance
    4. Now you can adjust the Resistance Level. Something between 20-40% resistance works for most people and setups
    5. I would recommend testing your chosen resistance in a random workout to make sure that it will work for your test interval
      a. Keep in mind that you will need to shift when using Resistance Mode

    6. Once you've settled on a level, go ahead and switch back to ERG mode. Your set Resistance will be saved and applied during testing intervals
