@punkture In terms of too big, were you still comfortable on the M's? What actual size is your KG381, they were sold with 1cm increments, or at least the couple I had were? And er, how tall are you?

Ive ridden them for years and was fine with them but ive got knee issues and my shoulder tenses alot on rides, both of which begin to hurt more as I get older so I got the bike fit and, hey presto! everything makes sense now.
my 281 has a 55 top tube and I would imagine the 381 is very similar though will measure it in a bit (cant find the geo chart). I basically need a 52.5/52 frame. I'm 5'7/5'8

So, having just had a bike fit, I now know that I have been riding bikes that are all too big for me. I will be changing up my stable as and when I can replace with size S:
