It's not mine, I thought it was funny, are lo-pro touring bikes really a thing?

Apologies, I'm a bit salty first thing.

Is this NOS crabone 650c fork a good deal at £55 delivered from the US?
-
• #59467
It's had a tough old life bless it. The fact the prior owner couldn't be bollocksed to remove the rear caliper or drop out adjusters before spraying is telling. At some stage someone liked it as the clues in terms of a dura ace rear mech and calipers are quite telling. I'll wager at some point in it's chequered past it's been nicked.

Went for £74!

Well someone got a bargain.

More constructively, it does seem odd: a lo-pro with mudguard eyes front & rear.
I'd guess that the frame was originally a two-tone fade, that someone didn't like.
The ad seems a bit off to me. They claim not to be a "bike person", but some of the terminology isn't common: as if they were pretending to know less than they do.
Or perhaps they just had some help with the ad...

I'm trying to mentally put a set of longer forks on that lo pro and see if it just turns into a small road bike?
-
• #59472
Haha I thought that too...
-
• #59473
Not with that HT angle, surely.
-
• #59474
I did wonder that, but if you compare the top tube to the garden wall it's hard to imagine a suitable fork!

that HT angle
