Gonna get the Klein dirty? Good man.
I think the bunkhouse is this: https://goo.gl/maps/XY59kBNSV382
I'm sure someone will correct me... can @eyebrows @platypus confirm?

That’s the bunkhouse. Rode past it last week and didn’t see a sign on the road. There are signs on the ends of the buildings each side of the entrance but you’re pretty much on it before you know it’s there. Check it on streetview for info.

This is a great ride, had a lot of fun when I did it late last year. MTB is more suitable than CX, generally; most of the guys on skinnier tyres had at least one puncture.
We stayed in the bunkhouse, it's quite good, clean and fairly modern, the showers are decent... There's even a bike wash area although it probably won't be very muddy when you're doing it!
And the pub down the road is ideal for food etc.

Bunkhouse is full.
I'm staying at Harkaway B+B- it is £10 more expensive than Bunkhouse but includes breakfast and actual beds (but this is substantially less than investing in a large amount of camping gear which I don't currently have/ can't find)
Alternate places I'll PM to you -

I'll be changing there too.

All the way to Brighton is currently the plan. Although will have to check funds as my terrible student budgeting means I might not be able to get my bike ready in time. Will keep you updated

My wife went to the George and Dragon at Houghton today. Good news is the food was great. Bad news is that is closed on the 19th for a private function from 3pm.

Coming from the Netherlands via TNT so who knows. Rode up Butser Hill yesterday and it was a slog, and that was just one hill!
Is there a route, or are we just following signposts?
-
• #648
mm, maybe some pushing ahead! nae bother
The route was at http://www.southdownsdouble.net/ but the website has gone dead in the past few days....I think this shockingly-designed site has the same one somewhere: http://www.bikedowns.co.uk/GeneralInfo.htm
