Anything around Purbeck is great. I've done the Braunton 150 twice, and it's amazing, but brutal. So hilly and would be dreadful if the ground is too wet. I make up a lot of routes from knowledge and I'm currently putting together a Jurassic Coast route that would be Exmouth > Studland and back, around 230 miles total.
Dartmoor is ok, but not that exciting, granite way is nice and old railway from princetown > burrator resevoir, it's just a case of stitching it all together. Tarka trail is also really nice but very tame, as for gnar, there isn't much except Exmoor and Quantocks.

thanks so much!
looked at the braunton before and will probably try it some time it's dry.
and would love to see your route when it's done! -

I'll publish the route once it's final. It's taken a few years to get it all together but should be done this year after a test ride of the whole thing

It is!
900 miles until it hits 10,000 miles! It's had a good life (and will continue to have)

I see you're based in the SW - what are you favourite long (100k+) offroad routes around there?
