It's alive! All this wait made me almost forget that the hole purpose of this is to ride and have fun... and it turns out that this is a fucking fun bike. Spent the evening with a friend that rides a full suspension 29" at the local trails, and this thing doesn't mind keeping up. It's fast! As expected you have to work a bit on the flats and steady climbs (our trails are anything but smooth), but it eats everything on the descents. I was blown away by how good the combination of the fork, geometry and big tires worked. Was going fast downhill over rocky drops, and the rear end was just laughing at anything I dared throw at it. Of course my background is cross, so I'm used to picking lines and landings wisely, but this thing felt closer to a full suspension bike going downhill.
I'll snap some proper photos later, but in the meantime these phone ones will have to do.
