• It's all done fastidiously off bike fit data. Don't hate the player etc....

  • Y won't anyone make a direct mount road fork?

  • shadow edition

    My car is offended

  • I just want to know which organ I need to sacrifice for the cause

  • Brain worked for me

  • Is that a filament wound carbon seat tube on the new model?

  • I had bought the velo orange 650b guards for Isen bike as it appeared that was what you suggested but they needed a lot of fettling to fit. The rear has now snapped, what guards are they that you have on your bike?

  • Same ones pal, they are a bit of a faff to fit. Pdw have just brought out a big 650b guard. Going to be landing in a few months so they may be worth a try.

  • Possibly didn't help that you fitted the leather washer on the other side of whatever weird, knurled spacer that is that looks like it was digging nicely into the mudguard there.

  • Was trying to protect the frame with the leather washer. The split propagated from the edge of the mudguard.

  • Normally, then leather washer goes either side of the guard, to stop whatever bolt you use from flattening the guard and making stress risers. I've also seen people curve massive penny washers to the shape of the guard to go inside, but normally the leather ones are sufficient.

  • Any details on the new frame? Unless I´m mistaken I can see the deposit page open but no further details.

  • I usually use small rubber tap washers instead of the leather ones

  • Yes, lots. Sorry for being so shit with updating this, the new workshop was obviously far more hard work to move into than I had predicted, I crashed my bike, there was leaves on the line etc etc. ;) Anyway, post to follow.

  • The Isen Workshop R³ has launched!

At the moment it is being put through its paces at various crits (unfashionable ones with multiple gears but still) and has already bagged 2 podiums. Spec has been discussed before, but the #bicyclebuyerbingo take homes are:

    Tapered columbus futura caliper fork
    Deda zero uno down tube
Columbus max seat stays and top tube
    Columbus spirit seat stays
Custom filament wound carbon ISP, T45 lugs and topper, all machined in house.
The option of T47 BB shell (my choice) or BSA 68mm
    PMW breezer brop outs
BB mounted Direct mount rear brake
Choice of 4, yes 4! award winning sick candy fadez

We are doing the same thing we did with the first batch, although not actually building them in a batch, but discounting the first 30 framesets to get them out there. I need to check with caren/anna but I think we are ten down, so 20 still for grabs at the 'I can't beleive it is this cheap!' price of £1750 (RRP £2250). We are also doing the money cant buy personalised stamped BB with them.

I'm going to add the geo's to the thread any moment now.

ANy questions, give me a shout. If you have emailed me, pm'ed me, sent a pidgeon etc sorry if I haven't replied, I'm only just getting on top of it all but will be in touch.

Any questions, fire away. Please buy my bikes!

  • @coldharbour

Out of interest. Are CK headsets included with these like the original ISEN?

  • It's going to come as standard with a cane creek unit, as it's 1.5 lower so easier to source, but CK is available to upgrade for a small fee.

  • Columbus max seat stays
    Columbus spirit seat stays

What, one of each to deal with the asymmetric loading? :)

  • No worries, sorry to hear about the crash. Anyway who needs a geo chart when you can have sick candy fadez, right?

  • Guaranteed burger prime win at the very least.
