Persols are beautifully made, have the strongest hinges in the business and the lenses are absolutely top notch in terms of clarity and lack of distortion.
I tried some Maui Jims but I didn't think they were as well made or good looking as the Ray Bans that I ended up buying.
Not tried Serengeti. -
I have some Maui Jims and like them. I had lenses replaced last year because mini c00ps scratched the hell out of them and their service was great.
Persols are lovely though, as you and bq say. Sadly, I couldn’t find any to suit my big noggin a few years back, so I got some Revos instead (great lenses, but lost them somewhere). Not tried Serengeti either.

Always loved my Persol but I'm put off by them being owned by Luxotica. Heard Serengeti and Maui Jim were good. Any experiences?
