it has to be very dense to set it off. i have a smoke detector in my living room and vape all the time, maybe it went off once or twice.
sounds like they just dont want it.
having said that there's different types so why risk the fine... i think the ones with lasers (optical) are more sensitive
Our smoke alarm goes off upstairs if you vape for even a second in the kitchen downstairs
