I’d be down I reckon. Although end to end is optimistic considering there are a lot of pubs on the SDW

If you're after max fun, you can do a little de-tour just before Houghton to drop into Houghton Forest. It's got some trails if you can find them. Nice to do a little bit of singletrack swoopy stuff after a day of up-oh thats a nice view-down-up- oh thats a nice view-down bridleway.
This webpage has a bit of a lo-down. https://sussexmountainbiking.wordpress.com/our-ride-guides/ride-guide-houghton-forest/
Bit jealous of your trip, but as I did it twice last year I made a pact with myself to go do some other stuff this year.

So London people will be arriving at Winchester at 09.32.
Is it acceptable for me to arrive at 09.47? :) I could go via Clapham Junction but it means two changes and twice the chances of getting dicked over by late running services. If I go via Southampton its less changes, less chances of missing connections, but it's a longer journey.tl;dr See you at 09.47

Whereabouts? I might do this and train it back to town.

Probably Amberley, which I think is where the bunkhouse is.

Pretty much your only option, Petersfield is too early. You could drop down to Chichester from near Goodwood. And there is nothing after...

I can't make this one due to mother in law's 70th birthday 'event'(as she keeps calling it), but you lot sort out the logistics, route, and places to get beer, and I'll tag on the next one!
I've got loads of various bags/straps/sleeping systems if anyone wants to try before they buy their own. -
