This little thing has finally been taken out of winter storage and took me and my gf for picnic today. The food and company was pretty great but the short drive made me feel like a kid again. I like that feelin .)
Im not much of a photographer nor do i take a lot of pictures but this car is really really hard to capture how it actually portraits to the eye irl.
Need to get it in for a service and potentially fit the OZ futura rims i bought for it but i really like the orginal ones now so thinking of selling the OZs and perhaps spend some of that cash on refurbishing these instead. Downside would be i cant get a lot more rubber on these than currently on them and the rear is very "lively". Ideally id like to try how it ride with other rims and wider tires but that ofc requires the purchase of some spacers since the 93s vs the later ones apparently has slightly different hubs / axles.

Advice needed, if possible... Where are the best places to advertise when wanting to sell a car? - its nothing special, just a Fiat Grande Punto, but I'd prefer to sell it privately than sell to a dealership.
Thanks, Matt. -

I didn't understand drifting 20 years ago when it was an odd Japanese niche and I still don't get it now it's RedBullMonsterEnergyBubbleGumKiddyPlayTime sponsored weirdness.

The Ghibli is magnificent. It would be an expensive upgade but fitting very good tyres would help the grip a lot. Michelin pilot sports cups or pirelli, or even some toyo proxes. Tyre tech has come along way since that car was made. The only hard thing to justify would be the amount of use those tyres would get. I'm guessing the car is not a daily driver.

Cheers
The oz futura are 17" vs the original 16s. They also have allrdy fitted like new federal fz201 wich are a good 4.5 cms wider than the current tires that are hard to keep on track even at moderat acceleration in bends and in straight lines as well tbh. Theres just no grip in the rear as is. Im thinking there is a reason the 94s and later had an inch wider rims. If just buying a new set of tires would get me where id like to be id be happy with that but im wondering if it would at 22cm only.

Depends on the age of the tyres rather than the tread depth. Tyres go off very quickly. Most people don't notice as their cars and driving style doesn't test it.
Wider rims at the rear will help a bit but I feel like it's the basic suspension design or maybe lack of an lsd (no idea if it has one) causing the rear end grip issues.

Yeah these tires in the rear are bad rubber theres no way around that. Just dont know if i want to put good money towards 4 new performance tires in the slim 210 front 220 rear when i could possibly get bit more bang for the buck with 220 front and 265 in the rear with the 17s futura.
But yeah i agree the reason i likely feel this is because the rear tires are crap regardless of dimensions.

I bet 500 SEK that the tyres are 4+ years old and have hardened off.

In the past I've had most luck with eBay 30 day classified ads, not the auctions. Priced to sell, with lots of photos etc etc...

Probably way more choices in tyres at the larger size too. 16's and high performance are hard to find... At least they are here in aus.

I don’t think it’s meant to beat Climb Dance in the same way Rain Dance isn’t meant to be better than Faszination.
Saying X did it better is fine, but just because they did doesn’t mean we should all stop trying to make any sort of content. It’s still very enjoyable to watch to me and entertaining, so it’s done it’s job.

Those FZ201 are phenomenal tyres. Watch out in the wet, but I’m assuming it’s a fair weather car.

Sick burn on the Merc's backdoor! Plucky little golf.

the golf kicks dicks. i just wish it had more room in the back and could tow 2 tonnes.

on the subject of towing, i have a question for all you caravanners...
i saw this on ebay: mgb a frame
i want to know if this would tow the racer behind the golf for the three of four miles to my mg workshop if: a) there is front suspension but no steering; and b) without engine/box/brakes,etc...
answers appreciated.
