Very nice. Not usually a Colnago fan but this is a winner. Change those tyres and you'll get a lot more interest I reckon:)

has it been resprayed? Never seen a master with a paintjob like that and paint over curved chrome forks
-

The transfers appear to be on top of the paint, my Tecnos is masked. I don't know much about the master. Unusual for the fork not to be chromed and the cloverleaves unlined. Beautiful bike though... love the colour scheme.

No resprayed that I know. All original. First generation master. Is super pretty indeed

Yeah, I used to have a 1st gen Master. This one's not 1st Gen as it's got internal cable routing on the top tube, looks to be early 90's. Also, pretty sure it's been refurbished as the top tube decals are in the wrong place, there should be two Colnago decals on the seat tube, obvs the fork's painted, and the panto on the top of stays/fork lugs would have been lined in a different colour-there's no Gilco sticker on the seat tube either.
Still, very nice bike but wouldn't sell it as NOS.

After researching 1000 net photos it might be actually repainted....had no idea. Thanks!

The quality of the paintjob (if so) is so good I bet everybody will make the same assumption. Fork is not painted apart (if so) this has been designed( if repainted.)

I was under the impression that Masters all had chromed forks but I stand to be corrected.
-
• #18
It seems you were.

The later Precisa straight forks were both chromed and painted.
All the curved forks of the earlier Master/Master Pui models were chrome only

thats a 2nd Gen Master , internal routing is a later addition, no doubt when it was painted, fork should be chrome as mentioned before. Its a 2nd Gen because the seatstay caps on a 1st are flat, not domed, a carry over drom the outgoing Super, as were the lugs
