Dug out the email from original seller with some details of origin:
Here is a Reynolds 753 frame with forks, originally built for David
Baker (ex cyclo cross champion). The frame is in need of the threads
in the bottom bracket repairing and a respray. Otherwise it is a very
nice ride and a chance for a quality retro frame for someone willing
to get the work done. The frame is 22.5" centre of BB to top of top
tube, and 22" centre to centre top tube. The decals are an alias
(Billy Baxter) but the frame was built by the reputable Vernon Barker
in Dronfield. Frame weight 1800g and forks 800g.Note: I sorted the threads in the bottom bracket.

Going to the 'bay tonight I'm afraid, to take advantage of their £1 selling offer. Any interest, ping in the next two hours!
Due to the strict one-in-one-out policy, I'm selling my run about town bike.
The frame was an eBay bargain although of unknown origin - it's very light, possibly Reynolds 753, and came with a cyclocross professional's name on the front forks (since removed and forgotten what the name was!). It's a 56cm seat tube and 56cm top tube (both centre-centre). There was a bit of play in the bottom bracket, so I had it shimmed and it's been great since (although the surrounding never got repainted). There's no dents, but lots of scratches and some minor surface rust.
The groupset is all 1055, early 90s Shimano 105, excluding the chainset (52/42). I've got a NOS 1055 chainset (52/39) which I never got round to fitting, but you'd be welcome to. The cassette is an almost new 11-27, 7 speed. The hubs are 105 on Mavic rims. The headset is 105 too.
Other info for full disclosure:
The bar tape is a bit battered on the left shifter.
The yellow Jagwire cable outers and inners are all pretty new.
Gatorskin 28C tyres - got a bit of life in them yet.
One of the toe straps is missing.
The saddle has a couple of rips.
That bottle holder is hot.
I think that's it. It's a great bike for nipping around town - not too flashy to be a target, but fast, light and a pleasure to ride. Let me know if you want any more photos.
Was thinking £200, including the 105 chainset.
Collection from E5 or I can arrange to be near Liverpool St/Spitafields/Shoreditch most week days.
