Haha, thanks. :) I never really had the legs to win the price for the "meilleur grimpeur" so this is welcome. :)

Cycled to the end of national cycle route 12 (from where I am) up to Henlow and back. The 23c tyres (& my arse) took a pounding on the single track and need the rear wheel truing now. Bonked a bit but satisfying

Our club took 50 riders over to Liege to ride Liege Bastogne Liege. Fantastic route glorious weather, really well spaced feed stops and full stocked. My only observation is that our european cycling cousins have no road sense or just don't care, cutting across on fast descents
and corners, no shoulder checking and bloody undertaking. Still really enjoyed it. -

What a weekend it was <3
I had so any people undertaking me and I've only just remembered now that it was quite a big issue. Also, distinct lack of women :(

Went out this morning 75km covered, took in what I would consider the best climb in Dorset.
Great views, not so great headwind and anchor of a brother who had 8 gears. I inadvertently turned in to the annoying talker, took me 3 pretty pointless questions before I realised.
Q1.) Did you have breakfast?
Q2.) Can you see my rear light from a distance does it need some short of shin?
Q3.) Is your cap peak always in your line of vision down?

^Post a full report when you're done please. Hope to do that later in the year on my latest build - if I ever get it finished.

Currently on a warpath with Australia.
Raced the IPWR from Perth to Sydney. 5500km in 3 weeks. Took a week break then continued up to Brisbane - another 1000km. Another week break and now I’m racing myself to Cairns. Almost another 2000km on top.
My Friday-Saturday ride was a 36-hour effort (a single 1-hour nap) smashing out 575km Brisbane to Agnes Water, where I then instantly conked out at a dot-watchers house.
Currently, 100km deep into the Sunday effort - which looks like might be an all-nighter.
I have a flight booked from Cairns that takes off in just over a week exactly. 1200km to go...
And, yes, everything you just read - on a Dolan FXE with fixed cogs ONLY.

Oh, and if anyone wants to see the monster rides then head to my Strava. I haven’t seen what my account looks like on a desktop browser since I left the UK but I bet it’s something to behold... lmao

I'll try to remember to. Made it to Dieppe with a short 90km day today. 2 hours to kill with a Pizza Vesuvio and a Leffe. Maybe more than one. Newhaven Premier Inn will be my reward.

Sunday-Monday ride was a 410km effort. This means I covered ~980km in a little over 3 days elapsed (~77 hours). Time to chill out a bit I think. Miles ahead of schedule!
Now I’ve crossed the Tropic of Capricorn I am officially in the tropics. The daytime riding is pretty harsh. I found myself chucking on layer after layer of sun cream on my legs. No respite from the piercing heat of the sun. Had a 12 hour rest at a nice rest stop on the highway and I’m about to have a more relaxed day of ‘only’ 170km to Mackay where apparently some awesome person has a bed for me to sleep in!
Check out the route on a full map of Australia. Barely a dent.

Did some offroading - went up out of Reading to Mapledurham, Cane End, Kingwood Common, Kidmore End. Lovely day, didn't see a single person for 2 hours.
