I dont think your fork can flex 1mm so close to the axle.
The lockring from this shimano kit is only 2mm thick (but is more annoying to tighten as the tool can slip easily( and has 1mm more threading than other lockrings so could bottom out))

Contact Hunt, they'll sort you out with a slim version of these
They posted me one for free as a good will gesture after I encountered problems with my thru axle and fork.
Edit: didn't scroll back through to see you've already found the hunt slim lock ring

I ended up getting the silver Juin R1s (apparently they weren't going to have black anytime soon). They don't look too bad.
Pads still need bedding in but they already feel much nicer at the lever and feels like a nice power/modulation combo.

Excellent, my experience of them is riding fixed so never really get a good feel but they felt grand on my other halves bike when doing the bedding in procedure for her.

Avid BB7, replacing the pads. The pushy up bit wont wont walk back fully, in pic 2 I have shaken it out more and see a split ring thing - is this right?

@moocher looks to me it looks like they need a rebuild. Have you seen this?

Does anyone know what hoses TRP Hylex use and where to buy them? Can't seem to find a definitive answer. Thanks in advance
-
• #4985
They don't use any cables.

You'll want the Tektro hose kit, the straight fitting one I think, sold at many places.
-
• #4987
Thanks - hoses it what I meant. Cheers I'll have a google for some Tektro ones

Shouldnt pop out that way if the red adjuster is still there as there's supposed to have a nut securing the 'piston' in place.
-
• #4989
Unless they've changed it it's a banjo fitting for the lever end. If you can't find a tektro one, you could use a Shimano BH59 (ie BR-R785) or presumably BH90 (new, small bore) kit, - what I got to hook my levers up to XT calipers

the nut seems to still be in place, i'll try disassembling and cleaning

Im not interested in buying, but I do have a passing interest in how well it works. I used to have the Hope version of this which I could never get working just right.

Picked up a talbot from eBay. Was wondering if this is flat mount or post mount on the fork.

Cheers,
and to confirm the back is probably ISO mount?
Wondering if @coldharbour can source flat mount inserts for the rear too.

yes
There is flat mount but its not QR: http://www.paragonmachineworks.com/replaceable-parts/inserts/rocker-dropouts/b4048-left-side-rocker-flat-mount-160-rotor-12-mm.html
I have looked into all of this briefly hoping to buy that frame but gave up.
-

Yeah was looking at those.
I've got endcaps for my wheels so can switch between, assuming frame spacing is sufficient with the different rocker inserts.
-
• #4998
I am 90% certain its the inserts that are measured to compensate the spacing.
@coldharbour ?

Managed to get the frame in the end for £400. Going to build up with a DA9000 groupset I have spare and get some spyres to start with.

External cable routing so wont make a huge diff between hydro and cable, I am not a fan of cable entry angle of flat mount spyres, If I was you I'd get a flat mount to post mount adapter for front and build it with post mount spyres front and rear.
Not a clue, be interested to know also.
I have been using the Hunt 6-bolt adaptor and that has about 0.5mm clearance on one bike and can't be used on another, think at worst you'll lose a bit of paint.
