Next hack is to get 46/30 up front and a 36/11 rear to making climbing pleasurable.
-
• #3128
My audax bike is close to that, running 46/34 x 36-11. Spin to win!

Has anyone any experience of successfully running a di2 wireless unit inside a ti seat tube?
-
• #3130
Seen carbon, not ti.

"FWIW...answered my own question. WU111 does work in the seat-tube of my titanium frame. On my Wahoo Elemnt, I see 3 (of 4) signal bars."

Thanks. I’ll give it a go in that case. If it doesnt work I’ll try and hide it elsewhere.

I had a new 8050 rear mech fitted with a 6870 groupset under warranty a few months ago. The firmware was updated at the same time.
That mech got wrecked in a crash along with a new shifter. I’ve ordered a new r/h 6870 shifter and 6870 mech to fit myself.
My question is: will that all play nicely with the updated firmware straight out of the box?

Bloody no one has Ultegra 6870 bits. It's either full groupset with cranks I don't want or upgrade kits with the wrong size derailler

Got a new r/h shifter off eBay for £80 and a short cage rear mech from Merlin for £125 with a discount code.
There’s stuff about if you hunt.

The cage from 6800 mechs is the same as on 6870, so you can swap a med cage 6800 onto a short cage 6870 to make it med cage/gs

I have a GS cage derailler from the older series, can I just use that?
-
• #3138
6700? Don't think that will work as it's 10speed
-
• #3139
But I still need levers, I'd love one of those bar-end charge ports, cables, junctions, clamp FD, calipers, hoses, TT shifters.

might be getting rid of 6770 shifters/rear 6780 (short mech)/front 6870/5 port junction box/battery if you are interested?
-
• #3141
No, the 11spd Di2 derailler that came out before 6870. Hmm, maybe it's the same and it's just the levers are different. No the FD is definitely a different shape. Actually, shit, maybe it's not and they're the same thing.

• #3142
Possibly... if I had any understanding of all the model numbers :)

I have R785 shifters - the out of series ones - plugged into 11spd Ultegra deraillers (maybe the same ones that come with 6870 but I assumed they were older). I'd like new TT shifters and the bar-end charging junction. Hidden cables in the bars would be lovely.

6870 was the first 11 speed Ultegra di2 rear derailleur. 6770 was 10 speed di2 (etube).
8050 is the new 11 speed di2 Ultegra one. -

Right so I have 6870 shit and I want 8050 shit. No wonder the parts looked the same. I was googling the wrong frickin' number. 100% don't want any 10spd or dead DA stuff.

If you're after a set of 8070 shifters + brakes, I've got some new in box as I was too lazy to piece out a groupset that I wanted, drop me a pm if you want :)
You clever little cookie :)
