Outenger question.
Really really really really really really really etc etc etc tempted by this...... but not in London.
If i get train into Stratford international, can i get train up to chingford with bike ? this appears to be overland, unsure of train rules with complete bike around London zones. (i know central tube is a No )
Any pointers ? would be highspeed from Ashford International to Stratford, that's ok, it's from Stratford outwards i am unsure about. -

Unsure about the train from Stratford International, but the train from Hackney Downs or Clapton to Chingford is fine for bikes all day on a Sunday. Either one of those would be a 3 mile ride from Stratford.
Through Victoria Park for Hackney, or along the River Lee for most of the way to Clapton.

Ta BigBare,
Will look into things......
Looks like i can go Central Line from Stratford up to BuckHurst Hill and chop across on road to Chingford.Might have to strip bike down to carry on...... but i assume (dangerous i know) that being so far out this is oveland not Tube. And would be ok on a day ticket with all zones....
Having been struck off today as not fit for work i have Friday to look into tings, Saturday to swap tyres and decide if i need a bottle cage or hipflask cage. (Doctors orders, go and wind down and switch off, so your therapy :) )

Last time I checked, I think overground Central Line was fine for bikes, at off-peak & weekends.

I think you can only take bikes from Leyton outwards, which isn't much of a distance from Stratford, but might as well head to Clapton, or overland from Stratford to Hackney Central, then Hackney Downs (about a 1 minute cycle away) to Chingford.

You need some decent mud clearance there right now.
