  • For all of their supposed passion (which they invented), Liverpool fans are proper stat bores aren’t they?

Add that to the long list of reasons everybody in the UK will want them to lose on May 26.

  • I don't.

Even if you hate Liverpool, they're playing against Real Madrid FFS.

  • it's the ying and the yang ..... passion / stats
    one balances out the other

    ask chalfie

  • 1 ueaf cup final

    Never heard of it.

  • The last two matches were bananas right?
Bayern Munich battering Real Madrid and still not going through.
Liverpool with a comical own goal, a decent shift from Robertson, they lost but won.

I for one cannot wait to get a dodgy stream and watch the final.

  • Why? Bt sport will have it online and possibly on free view for free.
Think that’s what they did for last years..

  • Liverpool were lucky over those two legs.

A couple of decent penalty shouts and some terrible defending.

  • I think the Roma Liverpool match was a classic slug fest. Both teams went for it. Both teams were arsed about being there (surprise that eh?).

The final will be a massive disappointment. Standard.

  • csb time.

I'm working from home and as I type Harry Redknapp and Dot Cotton are in the kitchen trying to work out how Alexa works.

  • Has 'Arry offered to open an offshore bank account for her?

  • They can't get it to turn on so far. Jack Whitehall's dad is also (not) helping.

    Surreal background.

  • When I was a kid back in the early 1960s, my mother had a friend whose son went round to a mate's to play after school. His mate's parents had a row. My mother's friend was in her kitchen when her son came in with his mate and his mate's father and asked if his mate's father could stop for a while while the dust settled.

She sat chatting to the father over cups of tea until her husband came home to the surreal experience of seeing his wife sitting in their kitchen with Jimmy Hill.

In those days Alexas hadn't been invented but if they had been, I am quite sure Jimmy would have got it working.

  • They can't get it to turn on so far

They'll need the app and a decent wifi connection.

  • Arry's just had a diva moment. Didn't like being made to wear an apron and pretend to do the washing up.
    Alexa is still not working.

They are moving on to trying to make a smart wifi /app doorbell thing work next. But I'm looking forward to the robot lawn mower segment most.

  • 'Arry is doing OK for a man who can barely read and write.

  • repost.

  • "just fucking run around and cut the fucking lawn"

  • Can wait till I can upload a picture

  • Yes DDG number 1 and Alison number 2 (I looked at this a couple of months ago, might have changed).

Oblak because the numbers people are talking about with Alison are nuts - I'm just not convinced a keeper earns you enough points incrementally as price increases. Although would be interested to see if I'm wrong.

  • Good luck to Dulwich Hamlet in their playoff semi tonight.

  • A tale from a Burnley fan:

Travelling back down to Milton Keynes from Manchester after the game on Saturday. Fantastic mood, sharing some drinks with my two mates (United and Chelsea fans) and a group of ladies on their way back home to Stoke. Normally we'd go to Burnley via Preston but Manchester was far cheaper that weekend.

We leave Stoke and the ladies behind and about 10 minutes later my friend sat opposite me on the isle says ''that's Ashley Barnes!''. I think he's taking the mick out of someone. Lo and behold, I look up at a man in a grey Nike tracksuit and there he is; I'm not sure what to think. He shakes my mate's outstretched arm and says ''I'll be back in a minute boys''.

5 minutes later, he's returned from the shop. ''You alright chaps?'' he says. Placing two of his bags from the on-board shop on our table.
He stops for a chat and we ask what he's doing on his way down south. ''Me and Nick are on Goals on Sunday tomorrow''. He shares a couple of jokes and takes a couple of photos with us.

We let him get on and he says ''Those are for you by the way, pop down for a chat in a bit''
I look in the bags, 8 cans of Grolsch. We're not sure what to think now, has Ashley Barnes just bought us beers?
We give it some time, and have a couple of beers.
We then go down to first class and see Ashley with Nick sat opposite. They spend a good 15 minutes chatting away with us. We spotted they had a beer each as well and we made a point of how much they deserved it.

  • Looking forward to the whole country getting behind the mighty Reds against The Entitled Fascists come May 26th. Should be a cracking final.

  • It's a horrible choice, but if the fascists win, we don't have to hear them banging on about it for the next couple of decades, so colour me temporary Francoist for the final.

  • As this will be the last CL final before we leave the EU, it would be a little Brexit to support the English team and so I won't.
