Just because I can and wanna... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

(Not saying I will get the MT8 though, but it is very tempting!)

In all seriousness, adaptors are only for flat to post but not post to flat, so if I am spending 1000s of my hard earned cash on something that I will enjoy for years to come, why would I limit my options?

Yeah, you can do whatever you want cos it's your cash and your bike but if you ask for advice maybe cut back on the sass slightly? ;)

To be honest my comments come from experience as I've run disc brakes for polo and I've never had any issues with post mount or IS. This as you know is a game which pushes the bike and brakes quite a bit.

This is not only just me, I do fix a lot of other player's brakes courtside be it just an alignment of caliper, full bleed or shortening the hose.

And from the above, I've yet to see a flat mount polo setup as I've said before post mount (and by default IS) are still the preferred choice.

  • Flat mount is a relatively new standard, I doubt many people are playing polo on bikes manufactured in the last year or so.
