  • Buvac left Liverpool this week, and is now shortest odds at Betfair. Add that he worked with Mislintat at Dortmund, who seems to have a lot of power these days. Could mean nothing though.

  • Needs more *taps nose*

  • The only thing that is apparently stopping Rodgers coming to Chelsea is that he fell out with the club in relation to his use (or lack of use) of loan players at Swansea, Liverpool and Celtic. That and the fact that he doesn’t want to come and no one wants him.

    Expect the announcement imminently.

  • List of Chelsea players leaving this summer according to press reports:

    Courtois
    Hazard
    Kante
    Willian
    Pedro
    Azpilicueta
    Barkley
    Drink water
    Fabregas
    Christensson
    Moses
    Morata
    Giroud
    Cahill
    Rüdiger

    Various loan players

    And, of course, Conte.

Should be an interesting season next year.

  • You forgot Alonso...

  • but Terry to come back as player manager?

  • Has he actually left? Liverpool certainly haven't said as much.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Arsenal board did something daft like appointing him, mainly because he's cheap, but his lack of experience as a number one would make it hard for the fans to accept him, and I fear the same would be true for the players. It would be much better to make a short term appointment of a big name, like Allegri or Ancellotti.

We'll probably end up with Sven-Goran Eriksson.

  • You forgot Alonso

Indeed I did. He is supposedly off but not until he has served his season long ban.

  • Liverpool have said he is on leave of absence until the end of the season for personal reasons.

The initial rumour was that he had fallen out with Klopp, then that his father was unwell so he was taken time off to spend with him.

  • Mane!!!!

  • Quality finish from Milner.

  • Salah looks jaded tonight

  • liverpool must buy a keeper in the summer! end

  • That was horrific

  • phew

  • That was banter era defending all round

  • we're thinking of buying the keeper that let in 7 goals in two semi finals
to replace the keeper that only let in 6

  • Liverpool players looked knackered tonight. No chance against Madrid, particularly if they can’t get the top 4 sorted and give players time to rest.

  • Alison is statistically the 2nd best keeper in world football this year. I'd be buying Oblak if it was me but Alison is clearly a massive upgrade on Karius.

  • I'd be buying Oblak if it was me but Alison is clearly a massive upgrade on Karius.

Yeah, Oblak is great, but he does enjoy the benefit of playing behind one of the best defenses in the world, if not the best. Looks like he's off to PSG though.

For me the best keeper in the world is de Gea, but only Real could sign him.

  • Not at all, but the Terry-Ferdinand accusation was the first situation that came to mind when I was thinking about fans sticking behind players accused of racism.

Shows how tired I am that Suarez and the t-shirts wasn't the first example that came to mind.

  • I went to watch Haringey Borough triumph in their play-off semi final this evening. Some nice attacking football, and a great crowd of 442 for 8th tier football, but I just can't take 4G pitches seriously.

  • arsene wenger @ arsenal - 21 years
    1 champipons league final
    1 ueaf cup final

    jurgen klopp @ liverpool - 2.5 years
    1 champipons league final
    1 ueaf cup final

  • thought i'd get that in quickly before wenger gets to another final tonight and wins " small ears " this term

  • " The Reds entered the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Roma needing one goal to equal the all-time mark in the competition for most goals scored, held by the 1999-2000 Barcelona side that scored 45 goals in 16 games. "
