My first proper mountain bike!

So I don't really know what I'm doing with mountain bikes but it seems to have worked out alright. Didn't explode. I almost fell in a river though (don't get that with a road bike).

After a week or so off of my commuter, I've realised that I really don't like the feel of Sram with HY/RDs, it feels like theres just way too much lever throw - is there a mechanical calliper that's recommended?

NB - I've tried the extra slot hack but that's not done much for the stopping power.

Spyres probs. Had a mare with avids.

Could be keen on your hy-rds tho.

Some update on the rychtarski, may be need a flite.

Yeah maybe, if I can actually get good at this mountain biking thing. I'm embarrassingly slow right now so saddle height is the least of my issues.

I've looked into it though and not an awful lot of choice for 27,2. One from CRC and one from bike-discount.de iirc

I ran Juin Tech R1 with Sram Force levers for a while - felt great, way better than the Spyres they replaced.

I bought +spotter's genesis. he'd done some nice upgrades like tyres, cranks, better hardware, TRP Spyres etc so I have no real plans... maybe a front or rear rack at some point, dial in the position, swap saddle/pedals.

Powermeter!?

Building the above frame up for a friend, need a few bits, silver seatpost, silver stem ~100mm, silver single speed wheelset and silver track cranks. If anyone has some any bits spare give us a shout. Trying to get this on the road by next week if possible!! Cheap please, like around £50/60 for the wheelset..
