I can't guarantee you won't have heel clearance issues if you've got massive feet but you should be alright with small panniers and that bike.

Very functional, just needs mudguards, howeverI never understood the rationale of having two types of brakes on one bike.

I think it’s a U brake on the back.

Yeh it's an old U brake - nightmare to setup (thanks to P&L Cycles / Cycle PS there!)

@spotter My SKS B65 fenders arrived last week , just need to cut the rear down a bit before I stick them on...

@spotter I have a bike (I need to finish) which has the same setup, canti/v on the front and U on the back. What is the rationale for this setup?
