Varying skills sets.
Quite a few of the wealthy people I've met who've made their money from owner-managed businesses come across as "practical dooers", for want of a better phrase. They've spotted opportunities and built the right relationships. I'm not sure you need the same levels of critical thinking as say a lawyer.
That level of detail I suspect is beyond him.
The amazing thing is this - there are a lot of thick, bigoted but rich people on the Porsche forum.
Some of them are amazingly ignorant and will (for e.g.) actually state that May is a great PM and doing a fantastic job, which is so far from the truth that it's almost literally breath-taking.
Yet, they own businesses, they clearly either make or have access to significant funds - whilst being both the worst of humanity and thick as two short planks.
I can understand one guy, a self-professed facist, as he works on oil rigs and makes his money from the high risk and unpleasant working conditions that that entails, but the rest - including Mark there - are just bizarre.
They are all evidence, if any were needed, that this country is fucked - by rights they should all be working in an Amazon warehouse on zero-hours contracts.
