I'm sure it would be fine. Me and the missus were layiong out camp mats and they just give you the keys without supervising you looking at cars.
BUT, they will try and hard sell you, easy enough to fob them off.

I have just ordered a new car and do not care for your hating on it... I feel v. good about it.
It's a Volvo, one of those twin engine things, the S90 T8. Just the bog standard no optional extras one.
Couldn't get it in the colour I wanted because that takes 6 months, but I got it in something that makes it look like a diplomats car and that's fine by me.
This is for 90% motorway use, and the hybrid engine thing should be great for that. I never really used the Mini in the city so I can't imagine doing so with this either, but the diesel hate is enough for me to think it's not safe buying a diesel when local council policy seems dead set against them, and I wasn't even convinced it was safe buying a petrol car... but a plug-in electric for the city that has a petrol engine that can do the motorway range... yeah that works.

I looked at these (well, the V90), and even though I can usually count on being able to park outside my flat it's never 100% certain - not that important with regards to a combustion engine, but a bugger for charging the battery.
What were your thoughts on this?

I live on the 19th floor presently and am used to not parking outside my window... charging will be via hybrid mode when driving, unless I'm lucky enough to be able to find one of the public charging pods in which case I can park there.
I kinda like the fully separate engines where the front wheels are driven by the petrol engine, rear by the electric, and that the batteries go where the prop shaft would have been and it can operate full petrol (FWD), full electric (RWD) or hybrid (AWD). At least I don't have to charge it constantly, and yet will be able to go full electric for short trips should I need to. This design gives a lot of freedom to choose how to use the engines, I reckon this is better than the permanently hybrid things, and it's got to be simpler to maintain as they are fully distinct systems that only overlap in the control system (when to enable which) and the charging of the batteries.
I couldn't consider an electric if it was purely electric. But love the fact that I can have the best of both worlds with this.

Will the council out in a charging point for you, at the base of the tower?
Some have such schemes.

There is cash floating around to install at the moment, I draw attention that the bay is for any car being charged and many councils don't charge for parking in the bay while 'charging'...

We are moving so soon it doesn't seem to be such a useful thing for us to spend the next 6 months trying to obtain.

My Boxster had those. They are rather nice.

^^I did think of making charging mine at Saino a part of my routine, but then circumstances made buying a car with cash more sensible than leasing one, so I went a different route.

The backs where pretty hard used before - covered in scratches, some fairly deep.
Previous owner said that they were from incorrectly fitting the wind-deflector, but who knows.

He voted leave because 15% immigration is the right amount, and we have far more than that, apparently, but can't back any of that with anything other than "I say so".

Hah, would it not arouse suspicion to turn up in a car full of empty luggage, or are they so used to that it would be fine?
"Yes, I'm interested in buying a newer, smaller, shitter car purely to store my bike related luggage in".
