I made it to episode 4 or 5 I think, but I can't be arsed anymore.

It is bad, isn't it?
No, LOST is great.

Handmaid's tale is as harrowing as ever.

Really weak first episode after the stellar first season. Delores using the same lines against her human captives as were used on her by Ford etc. ("what are your drives?") is just so lacklustre. The tables have turned, we get it.

Whaaaat? There’s a 2nd season already? On it.

BBC4 last night - Jeff Beck, if you're inclined it should be available on the i-player. Genius.

Lost in space, I don't get why they made the mother such an unlikeable character, not sure if poor writing or acting, everything she does it's just like 'ok well fuck you too then'. she only really softens a little in the final couple of episodes.
they were only in space for about 15 minutes of the entire series and they still managed to shoe horn in a fight in an airlock, a manual override outside the ship, a failed spacewalk and a fucking jump into open space to the thing just out of reach, basically a full house on the space tropes bingo card, they even got all the aliens in space ones too on that episode with the eels

The new Monkey on Netflix: after less than three minutes, I feel I am qualified to write it off as "shit".
-
• #4236
As in Monkey Magic?
I see this is so. How can they fuck that up? Utter idiots.
-
• #4237
Yes.
If you know the original, you will weep.
Bitterly.

I always thought that Tripitaka had zero chill and was always a bit of an arsehole to Monkey.
-
• #4239
Tripitaka had too keep Monkey in check other wise he would have just fucked off to get pissed and gamble. At least that's how I saw it. Sandy used to bug me such a winger

Bit late to it but just finished Preacher S1.
Very much in the vein of Dogma. Loved it, haven't read the comics though so don't know how closely they have followed them.
-
• #4243
Season 1 was a prequel to the comics.

Just finished watching war and peace on Netflix - bloody excellent & cracking soundtrack

The BBC version? I'd like to watch it again, my cousin plays the ditzy French companion.

The Terror.
set in 1845 on a pair of boats trying to find a way through the arctic. verr good so far.
Agreed. Have seen the first three episodes so far, and thoroughly enjoying it. The atmosphere is amazing, as is the acting and the dialogue.
Have you seen it till the end?
-
• #4248
The novel The Terror is excellent. This is one of those times where I don't want to watch the show in case it spoils it.
-
• #4249
i'm waiting for all the episodes to become available before cracking on.

i'm waiting for all the episodes to become available before cracking on.
Available in what sense? They (all of season 1 episodes) are available if you know what I mean (dunno if that is frowned upon here).
Yeah but don't you want to know where they lost when alien engine tapped itself into Robinsons ship and opened warping wormhole to some kind double star super advance alien home system in last episode ending cliffhanger? Robot said its "danger"
