We don't have passwords any more, just email addresses and 2FA codes. Do you know, and still have access to, the email address associated with username Riff_Raff?

Is there a way to reopen a thread I closed?
Put up a classified for my old iphone then shut it down as I was having issues resetting the phone.
I've gotten it sorted now so can I (or a anyone) just reopen the thread instead of starting a new one?
Thread is this one,

Not sure if I have to tag you in this @Velocio in order to get it to your attention or if there are some minions I could have tagged instead of you, either way, apologies for interrupting your Saturday night.

Yeah, best get rid. I'm not an expert, but I have the impression that "no go area" is one of those dog whistle words that spills out of far right forums.

I’m often wrong, but I thought traveller was an accepted term, where gypsy or pikey would be racist? Is there another term you could use to describe that demographic, or is it simply racist to describe the demographic as part of the incident?
In my experience I would expect that kind of behaviour from cuntryfied pro hunt Tory/kipper horsey wankers as well so maybe not fair assume/take credit from where it’s due.

Travellers are a minority ethnic group. The term ‘gypsy’ is appropriate to a group of travellers from Romany - Romany Gypsies and, as far as acceptable language is concerned, the term ‘Romany Gypsy’ is fine provided it relates to this minority ethnic group.
The perceived casual racism in the post would relate to the OPs notion that the people in the van ‘must’ have come from the traveller site. That may be true but there may have been a stereotyping to presume that they did.
Hope that helps.

Travellers are a minority ethnic group
Are they? I thought they were a cultural group. Roma is an ethnicity, travelling is a lifestyle choice.

Ask people what they want to call themselves?
-
• #17622
They are. Well, substitute community for the word group - it was quicker to type
-

They are
Really? I don't think the traveller community (if you insist on calling it that; a plurality would be more accurate, and I'm generally resistant to identity politics in toto, especially one which seeks to lump every follower of a particular lifestyle into a "community", when the truth is that people's community is rarely limited to followers of the same lifestyle, and even more rarely includes every follower of the said lifestyle) is ethnically homogeneous. Some travellers are descended from ethnic groups distinct from the indigenous ethnic groups of the host territory.

The discussion relates to the actual language used. Travellers are a minority ethnic community - this is the appropriate terminology. There are many minority ethnic communities. I have explained the Romany Gypsy term - it is appropriate to call them Gypsies. It is not appropriate to call travellers that term.
I have been misquoted slightly - which is unusual when it is in type in front of you. I haven’t my glasses on but I did not use the term ‘traveller community’. The term is traveller.

Not in any meaningful respect. You said "Travellers are a minority ethnic group." You said you'd have written "Travellers are a minority ethnic community." if you had taken the time to type the longer word. Neither proposition is true.
Travellers come from several ethnic groups, some of which might be minorities with respect to the general population. The ethnic communities of Roma people include some travellers and some sedentary people.
Travellers are a minority ethnic community - this is the appropriate terminology.
No they aren't, and no it isn't. If you insist on lumping all travellers together, you include several communities, comprised of several ethnicities. Some of the ethnicities found inside the set of travellers are minority ones, but the set of travellers doesn't include all, or even most, of the members of the minority ethnic sets which intersect with the travellers set.
Close does this.
