Oh I don't expect everyone to merge at the same time, some people merge in the middle, some 3/4th of the queue, some 1/4th. Ideally, a merge looks like a "zipper" with everybody leaving one car room in front and it sorts itself out. Few look like that.
But there are a few piss takers every day that just completely go to the front while the rest all have merge way later, so we all queue for 8 minutes and 3 traffic light cycles burning out our poor clutches and they get let in. That irks me a bit. Usually beamers, taxi drivers and Audis to add fuel to my driver fire ;)
I don't think so, at least I let people out and in who merge, back off if I suspect somebody wants in on the motorway, let people out of sideroad. I've no problems with turn merges etc...leave gaps at sliproads.
Just if the line is a mile long in an area with roadworks for months and somebody zooms past at 30mph to merge at the very very last moment...I get a little bit of a "queue jumping asshole" feeling...
