Where is good for bathroom accessories (toilet roll holder and the like)? There seems to be a big gap between cheapo stuff and pricey stuff with not much in between.

We got a nice toilet roll holder from here: https://www.trouva.com/products/ferm-living-brass-toilet-paper-holder
Toilet brush etc. we have one from IRIS HANTVERK which is "nice" if you can say that about a toilet brush.
Not sure what other accessories you need in a bog.

Hah - we have that toilet roll holder and also the Iris Hantverk toilet brush! You got taste.
It is nice IMO.

Cheers. Website doesn't seem to work particularly well in the office but I'll have a look when I get home.

Should say that the Iris Hantverk bog brush is nice but pricey. But then the holder is made of concrete.

Habitat no?

Oh also Goodhood.

Habitat should probably have occurred to me given I've just spent about £2k there.

Anyone know where to get Makita stuff serviced / repaired in East London?

The plaster around the radiator pipe in my bedroom is crumbling. There is also a slightly annoying clicking sound at times, which I guess is the materials moving as the temperature changes. How would you cover up the hole? With something rigid like expansion foam or plaster, or something flexible like an acrylic grout? My idea was to fill the hole with one of the above and then finish it off with a layer of plaster. But I guess plaster on top of something flexible is just going to cracks again...

Your cats look awesome. Also, genius extractor hood - after 3 years I still haven't learnt not too brain myself occasionally on the corners of mine..

Exactly the reason I got one too. More teapot/cat storage is a handy bonus

Could you get a slightly larger pipe around that pipe then fill the wall with plaster and the gap between rad pipe and newly added pipe with flexible filler. If you found a flexible enough plastic pipe and cut a slot in it you might get it over the rad pipe.

Toucan Tools off leabridge road.

Not a bad idea. Will try that.

15mm pipe? Try one of these https://www.screwfix.com/p/talon-15mm-snappit-10-pack/98443 with rigid plaster/filler around it. If the heat expansion is making the pipe bow up and down you could try to loosen fittings further back to allow for lateral movement.

Got some pipe you can use.

I was going to add cover the slightly larger pipe with cling film to avoid any sticking issues.
I have filled the gap with packing polystreen? sheets before, as that is what I had and had no flexible filler.

Is it plasterboard boxing in of pipework?

Flow rate is variable round the flat, I stole a flow cup to test....
The idea is that as a new kitchen is going it, prep everything so that it is not going to be removed for any reason. Hence rewire and adjustment of the drains so they have more drop and all of them have waste traps fitted.

It's around 50mm, hopefully a bit less. I have some white 50mm pvc plumbing somewhere that I hope will fit.

It's plaster/gypsum stucco.

Ah nice one Lynx. Not too far from me. Guess who managed to cut through the cable on his circular saw!?
Have you measured the flow rate as any better elsewhere in the house? Tank or mains fed? And if the latter, lead into the house or plastic?
