  • Queue jumping arses, of you see a half a mile long queue on one lane you know very well there's something, so taking the inside lane very late just before roadworks barrier is not an innocent mistake.

    And the people that let them in, DONT let them in FFS!

  • The other way to look at it is - if they wanted everyone to drive in the nearside lane where you would like them to they would have started the cones earlier. If a usable lane exists you should use it then merge in turn at the obstruction.

  • Basically there’s an understanding that no ones going to be up for merging in turn as that would involve a collective, courteous attitude we don’t posses. So, being realists, we form one queue, wether it makes sense to or not, which at least is compatible with our ‘me first, fuck everyone else’ style of driving.
