Wanted: Downtube shifters and 10sp Wheelset

Help me!

Need to get my cross check up and running.

I’m after 10sp or non-indexed down tube shifters and some wheels that will take wide tires and a 10sp shimano cassette.

Due to the surprise of having to buy new hanger, mechs etc following a mech hanger explosion on the main bike, budget is key here!

I found a set of the classic NOS campagnolo super record downtube shifters, which I bought for a vintage build ages ago (didn't use it, went modern Athena instead). It probably isn't what you're after, but PM if it is.

Also, should have some 10sp cassettes kicking about, which are probably 12-25t, but will have to look.

Got some mint condition campagnolo Sciroccos you just need to swop out for a shimano freehub around £30 .for the wheels £90 with tyes

not sure sciroccos fit quite what I have in mind for the bike - maybe a bit light on spokes, and a bit narrow in the rim width department.

Also turns out i need a rear canti hanger! argh!

Ah, well those are the only Shimano 10 speed DT shifters and they retail £70 odd tho I think online cheapest is £55
I don't know if an 8 speed will have enough travel, a good pair will be around £20 anyway

I was thinking something budget non-indexed to be honest. At somepoint I might as well pick up a second hand pair of 5700 shifters.
