De Gendt has a podium at the Giro
So he did - How did I forget this? 6yrs ago though. He seems happy enough to stage poach and I don't think Lotto Soudal have the manpower to support a 3 week GT.

Because he hates what it entails, i.e. it requires a different mentality where you focus on defending a position rather than attacking. That’s not who he is, so the team give him the freedom to race how he chooses. As he backs it up with wins, the sponsors are happy.

Because it is boring af. I do love watching de Gendt ride, although his 'always attack' became a bit of a meme last TdF. I mean he was in piratically every breakaway but failed to win a stage.
It was went to be practically but the spellcheck changed it and it sounds cool so I left it.

Was de Gendt in the three riders in that crash when Froome resorted to...

Egan Bernal just beat little Ritchie by nearly 18 seconds in the uphill time trial at Tour De Romandie

Roglic rampage

No mean feat considering Richie Porte is one of the best TTers in the world on his day.

That and his weight... he's said that he had an offseason where he put on some weight (dunno if it was the one after the Giro, or one after that) and has never been able to get it back off again without a large drop in power.

4 quickstep riders out due to time cut.
Uphill TTs not their strongpoint... -

Forget all this Romandie chat, Dan Craven won a stage of the Tour of Senegal today, and took the leader's jersey. Yay!

Hope he's listening to SL2.

He's about to nick it.

Bit behind.
There you go.

I wouldn't bother myself-there's got to be a sweet sweet double spok hipster wagon around somewhere...

I love cycling races in Africa for the sheer enthusiasm of the riders and audiences, but limitless amateurism in organisation of the races is still a huge problem. Friend of mine who rides the Tour du Senegal as well (consistently finishing just outside top 10) told me the first stage was firstdelayed for a couple of hours and then got cancelled altogether... because there was no medical assistance. I hope they get their act together because cycling has great potential over there!

Bernal is some talent. Didn’t he have a bad crash earlier this season?
Will he ride a grand tour this year?

Collarbone in Catalunya
(I think this was actually better than their first album)

Roglic for a podium at TDF?
-
• #16621
He's ridden two GTs, never finished higher than 38th on GC. He's a Slovenian Richie Porte.

Next year or 2020 according to his team, his goals this year have been week long stage races (Tirreno, Itzulia and Romandie) and then stage hunting at the Tour.
Save for Tirreno where a bad TTT, and then a loss of focus leading to a crash on the mountain stage, he's hit all of his goals so far. Looks like one of these "target something and wins it" type of riders. He did similar with his Tour stage that he won last year

He has better descending skills tho

Who won Red Hook?
I wonder this too. He is a funny one just seems to want to ride how he wants not how he should.
