The commute costs are the same wherever though, at least on Chiltern Rail you usually get a seat. I agree re the HW darker side, it does mean it's cheaper than other places with a similar commute time
When we lived in Amersham. Apparently the train was old but always on time and working. More to be said than some places.
Amersham is decent enough. Tory, but the craft beer place is nice and the grocer is brilliant.
