I don't think there's an elegant solution then. I wish Shimano would do a hydraulic/mechanical 1× groupset.

Why prefer Shimano?

I like Shimano parts and have always had good experience using them.

BTW they did

Clutch mech ≠ 1× group. I want a Shimano LH hydraulic drop bar lever without shift mechanism/Di2 buttons.
