I paid £350 for my 64cm baanfiets (almost everything but the wheels) about five years ago in the classifieds here. Sadly resprayed and badly re-decalled. Probably a bit over the odds, but then 64cm track frames don't come around very often.
My wife's 54cm baanfiets f&f cost £300 off ebay about 18 months ago.
I'm no expert, but I reckon anything under £300 is a decent price.
Gah! I should know but I've not been actively searching recently... what's the going rate for an old steel track frame these days? ballpark?
I've wanted a Gazelle track for ages but when it comes to it I never feel compelled to spend over the odds, I'd be happy with £250ish for the right colourway but sellers seem to want double that minimum... I can see why some full builds may justify the £1000 mark with panto groupsets, fancy lugs and chrome for your Merckx, Nags, Rossins etc but Gazelles are fairly plain, that's why I like them... am I asking for the moon on a stick?
