Pacenti Brevet
And neither disc or anno.
-

Yeh saw that non-disc. bugger. Bit of dulling spray to take the shine off.

In other news.
There is a 35mm wide Schwalbe G-One Allround in 27.5" variety now.
This makes almost any 80/90s race 700c race frame GROADCONVERSION fodder. Yay!

Only if you can find those elusive 650b rim brake wheels, and long-drop brakes or low-set canti mounts or whatever!
-
• #1782
Dunno anything about these but could be a contender in 27.5?

Decals look like they could peel off
-
• #1783
They disc? doesnt look like a brake track
-
• #1784
would assume so.. NMSW, and stickers extend over the place you’d wanna use rim brakes anyway.
-
• #1785
Aha didnt see that. thanks for that.
-
• #1786
VO diagonale rims (or the new Zacs up thread) and tektro r559s brakes do the job.

I've just gotten my hands on a Zipp SL80, so I'll give those a go first. But good to have a back-up if it doesn't work out, cheers!

Put 50mm on my Kepler disc and it’s a little... tight. Will I die?

The chainstay gap is 54 so you have 2mm on each side. Impressive work. Just don't ever get a buckle :)

Looks ok to me. Carry a Spokey.

Anyone got experience of WTB resolute?
My rims are 22mm internal width, will the resolutes come up 42mm or narrower on that wheel set?

Anyone tried the Pari-motos 650b x 38mm? Are they tubeless compatible?
-
• #1793
I think I remember reading that they're not.
-
• #1794
I've got a pair of Marathon Supreme in 650b - completeley unused if anyone wants them? 1.6"/40mm wide
-
• #1795
I did for a while and tubeless. Don't bother, lots of puncture which wouldn't seal. Try Gravelkings or G ones, ride just as well and better punture protection
-
• #1796
Interested, How much?
-
• #1797
Paid 32 each, so 45 for the pair? Prererable pickup in SW4.

On that rack the bar that connects to the midblade of your fork should be level, you should to move it back a bit, or move the lower piece forward. It'll help handling and luggage stability
-
• #1799
It's as far forward as it'll go unfortuantely - I can switch the bars around so that the slot is the other way round making them more level, but the panniers dont have that lip at the end to stop them sliding off.
I think the forks just arent made for that rack.

I think the forks just arent made for that rack.
Nah they'll go:
Looks like you've got your mudguard stay mounted to the rearmost hole on the pannier rack strut?
If you mount the the mudguard stays to the fork mount you're currently using the rack, then mount the rack above the QR (poss with the aid of a spacer to help clearance) it'll push the front of the rack struts up and they'll be more horizontal.
Sorry that's a bit of a complicated explanation but it's how I mounted my rack to solve a similar problem. I'd take photos of my setup but the bike's in bits.
Some of the Spank rims are available in silver
