Join is transitive so requires an object.
It is and does in this context, but there are intransitive uses, e.g.: 'We offer membership, do you want to join?'

Montauk
It is. This is actually where we stayed in off-season (well just down the road). It is nice, and close enough drive to East Hampton (the nicest bit imo).
The problem is that as soon as summer comes it's brutally expensive. I mean it's nice, just not a-grand-as-a-couple-for-the-weekend-nice.
As another fun fact I'm pretty sure it's where Betty Draper of Mad Men family summer house was.

Bodge version: melt a hole in your guard and attach using 2 cable ties.

But then prescriptive linguists who worship The Elments of Style and think that english language and grammar is a fixed thing literally don't like it.
They sit in on the edge of their seats, daring anyone to use the passive voice.

Does anyone have a pleasant route from central London to Orpington? RWGPS seems to be just routing me down a load of grim looking A roads.

Modolo QT-EXE levers - does anyone know if these take Campag or Shimano cables? As far as I can tell, neither head would fit in the hole. I've only got Shimano to test with tho...
-
• #90811
IIRC, Kronos require stepped ferrules, so other contemporaneous Modolo are likely to be similar

Campag or Shimano cables
Modolo are Italian, so I'd guess Campag.
Let me have a rummage: I might be able to hook you up...
EDIT
I can: I'll stick a couple of cables in the post once I've listened to the Archers. -

If you can that would be fantastic. LMK re. costs xx
@mdcc_tester where the cable (outer) enters the lever body? I'm currently using an unorthodox solution in that locality.

FOC: I've just been on the receiving end of @TheShipwright 's generosity, so I'm passing it on.
By my reckoning you now owe him a reacharound, but do check first.

Yes

I have used those with Shimano cables.
Mine were Modolo Aero - bought from this seller before:

I received a phone call today from the local branch of my bank. They asked if I could pop in for 5 - 10 mins to discuss how they can help with my banking. The phone signal dropped and the call was cut off.
Are they just going to try to sell me a mortgage/loan/credit card?

did the Shimano cable "heads" seat fully in the hole, or just sit outside it?

what does the upside down smiley face emoji mean?
Greetings from Australia, except in Australia where it means greeting from England.

I’m having to clear out my neighbour’s book collection. I’ve tried charity shops and a couple of local secondhand b/shops. Does anyone have definite places to send them? There are lots and lots.

I want a thermos type thing that I can chuck in a messenger bag and generslly not look after very well without it getting smashed to fuck. Probably around 500ml capacity ideally. What's decent?
Is it intelligible and unambiguous? The answer is yes, and therefore to a descriptive linguist, it is correct, even though it isn't traditional.
