Thanks so much for the input guys, must admit, veering towards a black gruppo, both suggestions sound great. Agreed yellow tape and maybe just the derailleur cable yellow, just to give it that little flash. Theres a black panto Fanini stem on ebay, but figure since it's as rare as an ummm... fanini it'll stay there until I can scrape the shekels together - £70 is a bit tall for me. I get the chrome stem idea though entirely. I was thinking of getting this rolling on a fairly tight budget, with my artful trawling of the classifieds.
Thinking neo retro tbh, but both 105 or SRAM are great picks. Not sure on wheels, possibly another set of ksyriums? or would that look ghastly with the transfers. Maybe Just simple dark grey / black rims. Not sure might even go tubs... eek. (Sticks yellow saddle back in post and does walk of shame)
