@Pawlus @multiburst We didn't know about the ferry from Tokyo and we already have our train tickets! But I think it will be alright, we take the Sunrise Seto (night train) and I have read some reviews about travelling with a bike (in a bag) was ok. I've already take the Renfe Lisboa-Irun where you can't travel with bikes (and ours were not packed at all).
We will take the ferry to Okinawa, so we will try all kind of transports :) We don't plan to stay in Takamatsu, it's only the train stop to go up in the mountains. We really wanted to go to Shimanami Kaido but we have to make choices (only 10 days of biking) and it's not on the way we decided. Another time, maybe !
