Gah you've got 75 pages in that thread alone. One day...

I found a pic of an early build of it somewhere by searching my posts for 585, I think it was in the Look thread.

yes, here is a photo from the seller (fisk)

I quite like the paint on yours, I wouldn't bother repainting :)

CC @ltc
Marek is based out in Gargrave rather than Leeds these days, which is a shame because it was super convenient having a guy you pay for bike maintenance in the city centre with Tyskie. Apparently it's working out well for him though.
The frames are lovely, though the paint is often a bit rubbish (we managed to pull paint off the frame simply using parcel tape when packing them up for a tour). My girlfriend (hers pictured) & two of my cycling buddies have them & all loves them though, & they're pretty versatile. She just did eighty miles of gravel on hers up in Kielder Forest on Saturday, squeezing a 32mm GK on the back & 35mm on the front.

Yeah mine's lost a bit of paint on the back of the seatstays, might end up repainting it if it gets much worse. Doubt I'd fit 32s in mine, it looks tight front and rear, I have some 28 Clement stradas I'm hoping will fit but I think that will be a stretch.

Cheers! Think I prefer the paintjob on yours. How many max frames are you hoarding btw? ;)
The paint on mine cleaned up pretty well. I think I’ll build it up with the cosmics and a tiagra 4700 group. Might be a fail to build it up with vintage wheels and tiagra rather than going for a better groupset and new wheels but I kind of like the idea and it’s cheaper.

Haha eerrh just 3! :)
Always wanted a set of those cosmics, I’ve had Shamals and Ventos in the past but was put off by how excruciating it was to get tyres on / off! They were v narrow as well.
Build it up cheaply, that’s what I’d do!

Havn't been on here for a minute but this has been my main ride for the past few months. Better pics some other time. It's a blast to ride and my girl absolutely loves it! The sun was out and we did around 80k yesterday. The platform is made out of recycled supermarket shelves fished out of a dumpster, which is super lightweight and the seat is from an old stroller strapped to the frame. Group is full XT m780. The plan is to build a box and get a rear rack/panniers in order to carry our camping gear and eventually switch to a dynamo hub. Bullitt's are rock solid, would totally recommend to all of you with little bundles of joy (aka poop machines).

Frame mods and custom rack are all done and it's heading to the powdercoaters!

I used to ride with one of the guys behind Bird, they really put a lot of thought into their bikes. If I wanted a more rowdy MTB I'd have one.

Really want one of these for me and my son. What is it like if you encounter any hills? What is your gear range?

Go for it, it's a good investment. There aren't any major hills around here so that's hasn't been an issue for us. Don't remember the gearing but I've shifted to the granny ring a couple of times and it's been fine, you don't even notice the weight of the bike to be honest.

That looks RAD. Full on punk sticker mod too. Deserves a cross post in Cargo Bikes!

Long Johns are fun. I got a Douze now (rides very similar to a bullit, IMO) and it's already changed our daily routine so much. We share one car, but currently that's parked in the garage for most of the time as I do drop offs and pick ups by cargo bike, and my other half manages to get the bus.
Also great for shopping. Our supermarket is like a 5 mins ride away, but lugging 4 bags and big packs of nappies and toilet paper on foot or with a normal bike is a total chore. Cargo bike however, not a problem, one trip.Hills however would be a bit of a drag I'd imagine. Once the thing rolls, it's fine though, and on the flat the faster long johns ride just like a normal bike for the most part. Bonus points for overtaking a pot-bellied roadie.

I switched to a different set of bars at the weekend and spotted these stress fractures appearing on the stem. Eep!

Picked up a Day One from the bay for 200 quid as a run around.
Plans are to give it a good old clean down as its been in storage for a while and the freewheel is a pretty sticky. Good condition overall and I like the colourway. Different to my usual safety black.
