At £6.99 I'm a having me one of them.

If I buy 3 it's free delivery. Anybody near Herne Hill want one?

Race Radio is just atrocious. Given the presumed budget and their aesthetique it should be decent but instead we get Soccer AM for cycling.
-
• #30905
I actually quite enjoyed the 'fashion show', but it needs more footage from the actual race.
-
• #30906
more race footage would be nice but probably also increase their overheads by a fair bit because they'd have to pay money for that.
I'm really enjoying it. I find it sort of odd that Rapha were relentlessly criticised for years for having an overly aloof/pretentious tone and then they release this unpretentous, unrefined & slightly silly content that still manages to be entertaining and now people are saying that its not polished enough.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

People love a moan.

Slightly silly?
Awkwardly bad more like. I'd rather they save the money and just broadcast live from inside a Belgian bookies with subtitles, the punters would know more and be funnier than some egg and cress sandwich of a man raising his fist and shouting "to the cobbles" then running into the distance.

Ah yeah, i forgot only internet punters can laugh at Rapha - they aren't allowed to laugh at themselves.

Ah, so it's an in-joke? Elitist and exclusive even in their humour. Scum.

PT flyweight, will it get much use in the British climate or only for ‘that week when it’s too hot’?
-
• #30912
no
-
• #30913
Jersey? I wore mine loads last summer, I run quite hot though.

Anyone had success removing the elastic properties of the trim on the PT race cape, or any other elastic trimmed jacket? With extra material looping down the back the elastic just bunches the material further up the back which is self-defeating (and a bit uncomfortable). Was thinking of just stretching it over a chair...

Hive mind- the classic softshell; water 'resistant' or 'proof'? Is what I have for tomorrow's weather fun... or it's a sweat-n-boil Campag rainbag :)
-
• #30916
Tomorrow is Monday

• #30917
You're as clever as they say.

• #30918
Blue (as in wet-n-cold) Monday, from weatherpersons prognostications...
-
• #30919
Neither resistant nor proof. Depends maybe if it’s been treated with something which improves it from standard, but I’d give it 10 minutes of proper rain before it starts leaking and then another 10 mins before its sodden.
If it’s like mine, it’s fairly baggy cut (compared to more recent designs like the gabba) so when it gets wet it also gets a bit “hangy” if that’s a word. All in all, it’s not a wet weather jacket - but something for cold days, light drizzle at the most.

Suspected... boil-in't-bag garb then :(
-
• #30921
It's pretty bloody pretentious.

• #30922
do tell

Bagged the only ‘M’ size one in my local store. Looks to be same fabric composition as the Rapha one.

Looks like I can consider Giro and Blackburn kit in good conscience again: http://road.cc/content/news/241114-us-guns-and-ammunition-firm-sell-its-cycling-accessories-businesses
Almost looks like consumer pressure can have a measurable effect, no?

If you are super keen on the boycott then remember they haven't spun off their businesses yet, they need #buyers first. And not to be Negative Nancy, but there's not really a way to know if it's down to public pressure, or actual accounting reasons, eg Giro and Blackburn have a load of debt on their books, so if Vista sells the company they get rid of the debt and (for example) post the removal of debt as profit in their annual accounts.
The best part is the typeface, if it's mesh I might actually buy it.
