Same here, almost got hint by a bus couple of months ago, got all worked up and called TfL, opened a complaint and never got round to sending them the footage once I have calmed down...

Yeah, it's a bit dizzying actually on eBay. They're all so similar the prices vary so much I forget what I'm actually looking at.

Think I'm going to give the Maxtek a go for £27 :/

The little £10 copy of the Fly6 I got off @pizzarat seems to work pretty well. No idea what the low-light performance will be like but considering it's RRP is say 1/3rd of the Fly6...
Still need to get a proper rubber shim made up for it but I need to go through my bag of tubes to find a particularly shitted one. Don't want to cut up something I can still patch. #wastenotwantnot

I ended up supergluing a spare rubber shim onto the Velcro strap. However the Velcro hooks are now getting a bit worn and so I need a long term fix soon...

I have loads spare Lezyne rubber straps, but would need some kind of double-hooked thing in order to use that. "To the bodge thread!!"

It needs a square of rubber on the back of the light itself and I could rubberise the straps like the proper Fly6 somehow I guess but that's less of an issue.

Ah I see, it's missing the one it came with. Yeah some glue and some spare rubber will work, but you might not get the desired angle to get the camera facing horizontally - I think the original rubber has a slight angle to it...

Yeah, the Fly6 has a couple of different angled options. I looked fine with just a flat shim in there so I don't think it needs anything funky.

What SD cards are people using in their Apeman?

I bought 3 x 32gb Samsung. Not used any of them yet.

What's the deal with reporting footage of drivers on the phone to Roadsafe? Does anyone know if it gets acted on, or does it disappear into a bottomless email?

Had someone overtake the over day, both hands off the wheel photographing Tower Bridge. Curious if it's a 'waste of time' submitting, when clearly that person shouldn't be driving.

Rode into town on Sun to buy kit with the missus and down Holland Park Lane passed some slow cars in the left lane. I was looking to move back but one of them caught up and then sort've hung there for a weird amount of time. I turn over to look at the driver and it's a van-driving cabbie with both hands off the wheel unwrapping a sandwich. He notices me looking at him and rapidly puts sandwich down to concentrate on his driving.

I’d wondered the same thing so gave it a test the other week.

Submitted a video of a chap (driver) repeatedly just blatantly ignoring red lights. Thought it would probably go nowhere but the next afternoon received an email saying they’d sent him a letter of intended prosecution.

I think they have 14 days from the date of the offence to notify the driver so it’s best to submit to them quickly.

Worth a go just for interest I’d think.
