I have a cheap Ribble Winter frame with mudguards and find that the top of the tyre rubs the mudguard under the rear brake bridge, meaning I have to lower the tyre pressure (GP4000ii 23mm) to accommodate this. I have positioned the attachment at it's highest setting.
Seeing as the Open Pro brake track is nearly finished am I right in thinking that if I replace it with a wider rim, and keeping the same 23mm tyre, that this should fix the problem?
OR
Is there something else I can use instead of the SKS bridge to allow me to raise the mudguard a few more millimetres?
Use the brake bridge to support the fender. Make or find a little L-bracket, bolt one side to the fender (you may have to dremel the protruding bit underneath) and hang the other off the brake bolt.
