Put in big ring, tape bars, change saddle and proceed to porn.

And lose the threadless adapter presumably

I prefer a quill stem on a bike of this era but I don’t see any real issue. They open up more choice for bars.

Well, apart from the fact that quill adapters have absolutely no place in the pr0n thread of course.

Yep this.
Otherwise yeah I’d use a-head too. -

really tall MAX frame for a pretty ok price

Pretty one! Your´s?
Do you happen to know who built that frame? Fork was drilled from the beginning?

A really nice frame, supposedly made by a french framebuilder (Cyfac?).

Random question but can the rear brake bridges such as that one be drilled?
Went for a run at the weekend and my right knee is now totally shagged. Would be nice to go single speed for a few weeks : /

Would be such a shame though

Could something not be achieved how some put a brake at the front by attaching it on the fork blades? Quick google search for ref:

You can get clamp on brakes for front and rear, yes
-
• #893
fuck me. sixty bob for a front clamp on at SJS. ouch.
Was more curious about the structural possibility for the instant. Fork already drilled but obvs no good for SS, and even with front brake I compulsively use my right leg for stopping fixed. Will probably just apply some htfu.

I don't think these bridges are really there for structural rigidity? (Some) disc frames don't have them. I say go for it. Thinking of doing the same myself. Clamp on brakes are stupid.

assuming I do it properly, would it still remove value from the frame?
I know people get pissy over forks being drilled or no but hadn't ever thought about rear brake drillings...
-
• #896
about rear brake drillings...
please don´t...
(clamp on or bike b / bike c should be the real options)

This may be an issue regarding 'exclusive' NJS frames for purists, but I wouldn't worry about it. Of course it's easy for me to say, since it's not my frame, but still. It's a bike, if you want to ride it single speed, drill a damn hole in it.

Would definitely be an interesting one, lookin´ at the profile picture.
For the sake of the threatened undrilledness of the brake bridge I´d joust.
