No, this happens mid ride. I was out on a longer ride yesterday and it happened again on several occasions. The front der just wont react. I keep pushing the buttons 10-20 times and then all of a sudden it comes alive again and shifts.

Possible that the cable into the front shifter is not fully clicked the in? Bar tape moved a little and connection is lost. You wiggle it and the connection remakes?
When installing I left a little loop so there was not tension on the connection (after having no this problem) -
But the rear functions ok?
Also, have you attempted to re pair?

Not sure I’m fully clear, but the system goes to sleep after a period of inactivity. You are unable to shift when it’s asleep. It then wakes up again when movement is detected.
Is this what you mean?
