Actually not DIY, it’s an alu mapholder made by Pletscher.

And, no, I fucking forgot the mat! I think I could just have squeezed mine in, it’s only about the size of a beer can. So I slept with assorted clothes laid under the bag. Not lovely.

Ha, fancier than my holder, which is a map case bulldog-clipped to a poundshop plastic cutting mat, zip-tied to the stem and bars...
