I'd take less than that for a two week tour!

• #3903
You know, extra seatpost and all that
-

It’s actually not that much stuff. Carradice is just camping stuff: sleeping bag, mat, pillow, tent and a few tools.
Framebag has tent poles, snacks and camera and the bar bag is a couple change of clothes -

In set ups like this I can’t help but think panniers would be 10000 times better.

Why peasant film? For that 'film Æsth€tic'? If so, fuck you.
Ektar, portra, velvia

Whats that solar panel thingummy? Phone charger?
-
• #3915
Possibly. But we’re doing a load of off road riding so being able to whip all the kit off without tools is handy and I do rides where I need to carry this much stuff that rarely that I’d barely get any use out of the rack and panniers. Framebag and Carradice I use a lot on their own though.
-
• #3916
Aye that’s fair. Panniers come off an arkose with an Allen key proper quickly as well
But if you’ve not got them run what ya got
-
• #3917
Actually not DIY, it’s an alu mapholder made by Pletscher.
And, no, I fucking forgot the mat! I think I could just have squeezed mine in, it’s only about the size of a beer can. So I slept with assorted clothes laid under the bag. Not lovely.

And Zero Danglers™️ which is something you lot could have a bloody look at. Everyone knows danglers off your stuff is for green stick campers.

Where was this? Looks like the start of the Basingstoke canal...
-
• #3920
It is! Me, him and Hp93 rode the river and then the canal down towards the new forest
-
• #3921
Did you record it, if so have a link?

Towards the end it got very hairy. I had 42c tyres and managed but hp93 on 32s broke two spokes. Tyre size probably unrelated but it was very technical

Nice!
-
• #3924
In fact at some point near the end we lost the path and rode/pushed through fields and over fences so don’t follow it to the letter

Classic wahoo ;-)
Interesting start to your morning ride as well...
Thanks! Popped a spoke on it yesterday taking it well out of it's(my) comfort zone.
The rest of our route has been incredible!
