  • I stuck 660mm loops on my straggler when I fucked my shoulder. Didn't return to drops.

  • I have loops on my cross check for gravel duties and it's really fun.

  • @andy_k @IdealStandard what do you mean by loops?

  • Ahh I feel silly now, I hadn't seen them referred to loops before ha.

  • Can someone positively ID the size of this Pacer on ebay please, the seller is not sure.

    eBay item number: 162916486441

  • surely send this this?

and get them to measure the ST and TT as they have 20mm jumps

  • Looking at the head tube length and the eBay pic of him measuring the seattube, I'm gonna guess at a 54cm frame. Just ask him to measure the head tube and toptube lengths, that'll confirm it for you.
    How tall are you?

  • Thanks I thought someone would recognize immediately by the size of the headtube.

How big is your Disco Tomato?

    Inside leg 32"

  • I'm 5'8" tall/short and I've got a 50cm frame.

  • Looks the same size as my 54cm, before i got the 50cm i sold to jontea

    i'm 5'7" 30"inseam

  • Out on the sea ice

  • Looks amazing! Which sea is that?

What frozen treat awaits you in the bidon?

  • Gulf of Bothnia

  • That is stunning. What are the disks? What are the pedals? How long does it take to pump the tyres with the lezyne?

    Backdrop quite pretty too.

  • 203 in front 180 rear sram disks, one ups pedals. Well if the tire are flat it takes a while. It's the high volume version. Never ending inflating and deflating with fatbikes :)

  • hehe, yeah i bet. I've got the high volume one too, but i'm only inflating 26" 1.75's or 2's.

really nice - that's where a fat bike belongs as far as I'm concerned... perfect, enjoy!

  • My lovely campag cross check...

(it is for sale on here, so I guess this is also a shameless plug - apologies)

  • This post wins. Surly Owners thread goals right there.

  • Who's seen the bridge club then?

Decent entry level bikepacking rig for the penny counters, or too similar to what surly are offering already?

  • If I hadn't gotten a Genesis Vagabond I'd be all over it. Though I am a bit miffed that they don't offer it as a frameset.

  • Nah i think it looks rad, and lots of differences from current offerings. I like the 2.8" clearance!

  • Yeah I think it looks mint. Certainly going to consider it when I feel I need a heavier tourer.

@MisterMikkel at least full-build only points towards greater confidence in the off road touring/distance market. Sure they'll release a frameset only within a year or two.

  • Go to mudguards for steamroller for max tyre clearance? Snazziest workaround for lack of fork eyelet?

  • Possibly a dumb question. What skewers are people using — between discs and dynamo these skewers are a pain in the ass.....

    Can’t get a good clamp/tighten cause I can’t turn the clamp around....
